Intel Campus Computer Assembly Contest
Motivation
Recently, I was talking to a friend and he mentioned the Intel Taiwan Campus Computer Assembly Competition. I looked up the competition description and found that the competition is to plan the specifications of the computer parts and explain the purpose of the computer with a limited budget.
Overview / Usage
I am a second-year student in the Graduate School of Electrical Engineering. Since my family and friends think that those who study electrical engineering should be able to repair and assemble computers, I have many opportunities to get in touch with computer parts and provide computer assembly menus, and I usually pay attention to computer-related news, especially graphics cards and CPUs, because every year brings some surprises and makes people feel the progress of technology.
This time, the use of the computer gives priority to the needs of the
services of the organization in 愛奇兒, and also the functions that I often use, 1. use computer software such as office to process documents, 2. windows built-in picture software for simple color adjustment and contrast correction of pictures, 3. speed up the video editing software for transcoding and post-production output.
Compared to buying a PC as a package, the interesting thing is that the parts can be freely chosen. According to the official white paper, many new features are mentioned, and the most attractive part is the Intel® GPU speeding up video encoding, decoding and transcoding, which is very helpful for video output efficiency, less waiting time, and more time to do things.
The CPU is i5-13600k, and the tests from UL Procyon, Office Productivity Benchmark, Photo Editing Benchmark, and Video Editing Benchmark, which are mainly productivity software tests, have a price/performance advantage at 13600k compared to AMD 7900x. For those who build computers, it is very cost effective to get better performance at the same price, refer to intel's official website, compare the 13600k with my current 10400 processor, the number of cores is increased from 6 to 14, there is also a difference between Performance-core and Efficient-core.
The number of cores has increased from 6 to 14, and there is also a distinction between Performance-core and Efficient-core, the execution sequence has also increased from 12 to 20, and the cache has also increased to 24MB, which makes it easier for programs that rely heavily on CPU instructions to obtain the required data, reduces the external exchange with memory, and accelerates the performance of instruction execution. The important reason for choosing Intel CPUs is the instruction set. Sometimes the instruction set is not tested in the score program, and perhaps AMD CPUs have better scores, but in reality, when running productivity programs, the difference in performance between software and Intel direct hardware acceleration is very obvious and is a very important feature of the CPU.

Conclusion
This computer is named Intel Companion, mainly because almost all functions use Intel technology such as CPU computing, graphics card image processing, M.2 using Intel storage management, and network using Intel 2.5G transmission, and we hope that this computer can help public welfare organizations to complete various tasks to accompany everyone for several years of good time, so that users can rest assured on this computer We hope that this computer will help the charity to complete various tasks and accompany them for years, so that users can work on this computer with confidence.
Thanks to Intel for organizing this event, I have been thinking deeply about how to match the limited budget, because in the past, the budget was not so tight, so I would keep adding more and more, such as upgrading the motherboard and buying a better graphics card, and finally the budget exceeded the initial target. Many of these technologies were only carefully researched during this event, otherwise I would have bought it just by looking at the score and the hardware reviews on the Internet.
