Overview / Usage

Electronics are everywhere. According to Moore's Law, we come to the limit of the semiconductor era.

To consideration is proposed completely new way of technological development. It will be the new class of computer technology.

The Combinatorics is a project to development of smart contsruction set with big industry and consumers opportunities. It is implementation of functional design with Transistor-Transistor logic in one project. On the one side, it will be Hardware Development Kit for different developers and scientists: inventors, AI-researchers, electrical and mechanical engineers, industrial designers and others.
And on the other, it will be amazing market product kit - In B2B: Hi-Tech-companies (digital devices), Educational games manufactures, etc. In B2G: Space agencies (transformable space vehicles) and others.

Thus, Combinatorics is new - Interactive - class of electronic devices (smartphones, notebooks) for end-users (consumers) with Artificial Intelligence (see Figure 1). For example, Nokia Morph can be implemented with Combinatorics bricks (Figure 2). For this technology we need special Electronic Unit (Figure 3) which is a: 1)controller; 2)energy source (buil-in battery) 3)high frequency generator (transformer). It is PC System Unit analogue, by the principle of action consider that it budgetary Mac Pro. According to the idea, the dimensions of Electronic Unit do not exceed Rubik's cube (~70x70x70 mm), so you can easily carry it with you. It consist of: 1 - solid state relay (mounted on Integrated circuit), 2 - stator (primary oscillatory circuit), 3 - rotor (electric transmitter and cooler), 4 -copper ring (for execution Lenz Law, for rotor) , 5 - permanent magnet (ring), 6 - secondary oscillatory circuit (core/dilectric tube with copper wire) This system works like Tesla coil or transformer (static electrical device), By controlling the touchscreen Electronic Unit more like video game console. Depending on the technical or consumer tasks to be perfomed, the processor is also different. The battery are charging via USB Type C. The transfer of energy between the cube (Electronic Unit) and the device is done wirelessly. Do you remember WiTricity and Tesla's ideas?

In Figure 4 we can see base elements (smart construction set) which at small size are able to interact with light (like metamaterials) and create image like LED-panel (it is just physics). 1- dielectric layer, 2- conductive layer, 3 - conductive spring, 4 - ferromagnetic layer, amp - amplifier. I believe that this is achivable. I have read many scientific papers, studies in this and related fields. I hope to get the necessary technical education and implement this technically complex project. Maybe it will be MIT School of Engineering. I hope.

A few words about Nokia Morph. Amazing flexibility is achievable with the proper selection of polymers and the size of the base cells (in my case - Combinatorics bricks).

Methodology / Approach

My idea of prototyping this concept (Combinatorics bricks) is to produce metal master model (mold) by 3D-printing, with further pouring liquid plastic and then processing the matrix of CNC machine. Final processing involves incapsulating bricks in a ferromagnetic shell under pressure. Technology and elements must be inexpensive so that one can talk about commercial production.
