Overview / Usage
This helmet is built on Intel Edison kit. We have hacked the hell out of the power part of the board to get it drive a peltier module which controls the temperature. As the temperature rises, timing for pelties increases keeping the inside temperature constant. An accelerometer tracks the head movement and triggers the indicators on the helmet. A vibration sensor monitors the vibration and notifies. We have created an entire chain with IFTTT for mitigating the notification over Facebook, Twitter etc. It is linked to an Android app that fetches the location and street address of the place where notification has happened.
