This code segments out the drivable portion of the road from the surrounding with the help of open-CV library. Indian-roads face the fading of lanes, unsmooth road surfaces. So, this project directly takes use of the pixel-values of the road to segment out the drivable portion of the road. ...learn more

Overview / Usage
Indian Roads face fading of lanes, unsmooth surfaces and a large number of potholes. Hence, road-lane detection techniques exists but they do not work for Indian-roads . This project solves the problem and detects drivable road from traffic cameras.
Methodology / Approach
I am using the already available video camera feeds available at all cross-road intersection in India (now that there are strict traffic laws) to solve the problem of detecting drive-able road surface and inspection of road surfaces.
