Overview / Usage

Former creatives on Job Simulator, Toejam & Earl: BITG, and Rick & Morty: VR – form a killer new studio developing Video Games, Virtual Worlds, and Rad Experiences. Our flagship title EleMetals: Death Metal Death Match – a game about headbanging and shredding your friends – is a multi-award winning 4-player brawler stuffed full of face-melting badassery! With a dynamic soundtrack by the acclaimed audio brains at Fat Bard (Battle Chef Brigade, Crashlands, etc.), the lines between gameplay and music blur into a demonic symphony! EleMetals is set for a Q2 2020 release window on PC.

Methodology / Approach

At Wallride, we combine both internal and external technologies to make our games as entertaining as possible. For our latest game, EleMetals, we are utilizing a heavily modified version of Corgi Engine for Unity. This is a toolset that gives developers instant access to many useful features that can be used for a 2D platformer or top down shooter. Using this engine as a framework, we have expanded upon many of their built-in mechanics and created many more of our own. Premade development toolsets are usually shipped with a "one size fits all" approach, but this can make it difficult for a game to stand out. That's why we have taken the time to customize and build out the engine to meet our needs and make sure our games feel like they came from Wallride and not some cookie cutter template.
