Overview / Usage
GRIME is an ambitious Action-Adventure RPG game that is made by a small team of 5 alumni of Tiltan College of Visual Design and Communication. While we don't solve any problem per se, we bring our vision to life using the tools and resources available to us on a professional level.
Methodology / Approach
GRIME is a large video game project for a small team to take on so naturally, we had to deal with a lot of problems.
Since the scope of the project has grown beyond our ability to keep track of, we resort to iteration and testing more than coming up with preemptive solutions for every theoretical issue.
This workflow approach is fast but risky, so with that in mind, we create our code to be as standalone as possible by adhering to common coding practices (such as SOLID) to minimize risks. Other things that really help us are Unity store’s plugins that take care of things that don't directly affect the gameplay like localization, input, camera...
Technologies Used
We are using Intel CPUs (Core i7) and Nvidia GPUs to develop GRIME.
For software, we're using Unity, Microsoft Visual Studio (coding in C#), Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Designer and Painter, and Photoshop.
