Overview / Usage
Unattended motorcycle accidents deaths contribute a great proportion to total accident deaths in India. By the introduction of this device on every motorcycle, deaths caused due to the above factor could be reduced to a great extend.
On a larger scale, this device could also help the user to track down the motorcycle in case it gets stolen.
Methodology / Approach
Based on published research papers and articles, the angle and deceleration change of the motorcycle when it meets an accident is determined. Different cases/probabilities for false triggering such as when the motorcyclist applies sudden brakes or if it just falls down when it is not moving etc. were considered and studied to avoid these.
On a scaled up version mobile phone and GSM GPRS Module, both could be integrated on to the project so that if one fails to operate due to damage caused during accident, the other could request for medical support.
Technologies Used
Machine learning, Scikit learn, gy 521 sensor, Arduino, EAGLE, Android Studio, (for scaled up version SIM800L V2.0 5V Wireless GSM GPRS Module)
