Overview / Usage

Almost as soon as the issue became mainstream, researchers started developing automated fake news detectors - so-called neural networks that 'learn' from scores of data to identify indicator signals of false articles. Looking at new articles to assess, these networks can be in fact-controlled settings, with fairly high accuracy, different from imagination.

'Fake news is a threat to democracy,' Boix says. "In our laboratory, our objective is not only to pursue science, but also to use technologies to help society. ... It will be powerful for tools for users or companies who can assess whether the news is fake or not. '
