Overview / Usage
We are building Okaya (www.okaya.me) to be the place where Humans use their wellbeing data to live better lives.
The disturbing fact is that the wellness market is not only huge, over 3 Trillions dollars, it is also ridiculously fragmented: There are many types of wellness and health apps, trackers, as well as more traditional therapists and providers (ex: nutritionist, massage, acupuncture...).
And yet, 40% of the US population has burnout symptoms, becoming the epidemic of the 21st century. The cost of burnout, time-loss, and presenteism to companies worldwide is over $300B. Not to mention the extremely high societal costs of an over-tired society.
People are not doing better and we want to change this.
Methodology / Approach
We use deep tech, computer vision and machine learning to change how people interact with wellbeing professionals.
Our next step is to bring voice interaction as part of our offering. Via limited tests of voice-skills and voice interaction we've been able to understand how much more (or less!) people are engaged on certain topics.
Technologies Used
We use a mix of Open Vino, machine learning and GIS to feed our algo.
People can access okaya via an app (developed with Ionic) and a web platform.
We also do some voice interaction pilots with digital assistants using the respective proprietary platforms.
