Wearable device for visually impaired people. ...learn more
Project status: Under Development
Overview / Usage
The device "see" the environment and "Translate" it describing in a speech form. It can describe the environment around the subject. Describe the person behind.
The project use Azure Cognitive services for the Machine learning and AI part, and a Realsense camera to understand which type of environment was around.
A Joule board equipped with Windows IoT Core, is the "central brain" of the device.
AN early stage prototype has been realized using a construction helmet (that have a bunch of space for camera, board, battery etc).
The new custom design board, based on Joule is coming. Our design win a contest promoted by Gumstix and Intel about carrier board design based on Joule.
It's the base for our future See4Me Glasses.
The generic version of this project will be available on GitHub.
