Overview / Usage
Virtual environment where you can explore a forest in flight.
Using real video images made by drone, and subsequently processed by Adobe After Effects and Unreal Engine.
I will try to use the new Intel Iris Xe MAX for creating effects and rendering in Adobe After Effects and Unreal Engine, editing and interacting.
The project is used to virtually visit some natural mountain environments. Aerial vision simulates a bit of a bird's eye view, creating a fantastic new and unexplored effect.
The navigation takes place through bubbles of images and 360 videos that leave the user free in the exploration.
The commitment of the project in addition to that of creating a very realistic virtual environment, and verifying that the new Intel Iris Xe MAX hardware, can cope with the stress levels caused by Adobe After Effects and the rendering of Unreal Engine.
Once the first version of the project has been created, in this place you can find the different specifications with links to articles and videos of the processes.
Methodology / Approach
Phase 1: Project planning and flight plan elaboration.
Phase 2: Static spherical shots and dynamic videos are carried out using the drone.
Phase 3: Through Adobe After Effect the video footage is processed, to the same are added effects to enhance the movements or for example weather effects, reflections and sounds.
Step 4: The 3D environments, navigation path and interactive zones are created in Unreal Engine. Here is also the final rendering and the realization of the executables.
We will use VivoBook Flip with Intel Xe Max for all processing, trying to measure the different processing stages in order to understand the real benefits.
The videos are made in 4k at 60 FPS in order to increase the hardware limit stress.
Hardware stress will be analyzed using the Intel Diagnostic Tool software
Technologies Used
-
VivoBook Flip 14 with Intel Xe Max, as a hardware system for creating graphics, creating video and sound effects and final rendering
-
DJI Mavic 2 drone, for aerial shots inside the park
-
360 Camera, additional camera for 3D shooting
-
Adobe After Effect, for cutting and creating video effects
-
Unreal Engine, 3D processing, gamification, single sphere assembly and final rendering.
