Overview / Usage

1. Lead a team of four in Project Virtual ISE, an academic project with the goal of building a 3D model of the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE), IIT Kharagpur using a FARO 3D X-130 laser scanner.
2. The scanned point-clouds and images from the laser scanner were denoised, registered/stitched and exported to the input formats of the 3D rendering software to be used later in the pipeline using the FARO Scene 6.2 software.
3. Next, the processed point clouds were used to create immersive VR environments using FARO Scene 6.2 VR App and Unreal Engine and virtual 3D walkthroughs using Revit and Autodesk 3DS Max.
