Overview / Usage

Project seeks to allow users to step back in time before color photography methods were common, a period which constitutes a majority of the history that photos were used to record life. Colorizing photos is time consuming business, so we use the vast collection of modern photos to train our model. An ideal hobbyist project given that basically infinite test/train data is available by using the trivial decolorize filter on any contemporary image.
