Overview / Usage

An overview to this Project it is pretty simple. We hope that CG Developers and End-Users are able to see what it is really possible for us to do when it comes to Game Development with the Technologies that are available today.

We also hope to demonstrate what a Workstation class System is capable of doing when we really optimize for it.

Also worth mentioning that we also hope to work with and implement a first-class VR Experiment so that End-Users can interact with this Technical Demo and see this Photorealistic World from a whole different perspective.

By the end of this Technical Demo development, we hope to release it to the public so that they will be experiment the technology that we are working on and how it might translate to future Game developments in a few years from now.

We also hope to release all the assets that are being used during the Development of this Project, so that other CG Artists and Game Developers are able to implement it inside their own Projects/Games.

Methodology / Approach

We hope to achieve the peak of Real-Time Graphics by utilizing a powerful Game Engine such as Unreal Engine 4, and push it to its limits by utilizing Khronos - Vulkan API.

With the Vulkan API, we will then be able to have a fine-grained control over the Hardware, eliminating many layers of code that could directly bring us some Driver overhead decreasing the Performance, which is definitely what we don't want.

Also, with the Vulkan API we will be able to leverage Multi-Core Processors, such as the Core i9 Series introduced by Intel a few months ago.
