Overview / Usage

I plan to use this build in different types of workloads such as rendering, gaming, and light loads such as content consumption. My gaming loads include playing CSGO, Valorant, MSFS, Forza, and Warzone. My rendering loads include Revit, Inventor, and Blender.

Some of the pictures don't show up correctly, check the links for pictures.

Methodology / Approach

To start, I made a list in pcpartpicker, then I looked at reviews for all the parts selected in the build from different reviewers. Then I drew an airflow diagram of the PC Build. Then I checked for RGB compatibility. Then I put my initial vision for the build on a paper drawing. Then I built a version closest to actual parts of the pc build in PC Building Simulator. Then I used Onshape to convert my initial vision from paper to a 3D model.

PC Build:

The PC build is aviation-themed with intel to help power it all. The build incorporates my favorite number on the back and the front of the case. The case also has decals of stealth fighter jets to showcase the silent nature of the case and the case fans. It also incorporates the Intel logo as the centerpiece. The RTX 3070 is perfect for 1080p. The 3070 can max out almost every game at this resolution. The build has 5TBs of NVMe storage, including an Intel SSD.

Why Intel?

The i9 12900K is the CPU of the future because of its new hybrid architecture, making it like building a computer from the future in the present. Playing mainly FPS games at 1080p, the CPU matters more and the i9 12900K is the fastest gaming CPU. From the list of games mentioned above, Valorant and CSGO stand out because, in both games, more frames win games. The i9 helps achieve the highest number of frames. It is also a reliable option with all the software able to take advantage of the hardware. The i9 12900K also keeps room for an intel GPU upgrade down the line. The build also features an intel SSD. The Intel 660p is an inexpensive and reliable option.

Desk Setup:

My setup has the PC build situated on the right side of the desk. The monitor has an IPS display and it is capable of reaching 280Hz at 1080p. The monitor is mounted to a monitor arm. The arm is mounted a bit to the left from the center. With the help of the monitor mount, the monitor can swing back and forth between race mode and fps/ normal mode. The G923 is mounted in a way that would give ample room to the mouse and the keyboard. The mouse pad is XXL sized to account for low dpi tracking when playing fps games. The mouse is FPS-focused with the key features being wireless and lightweight.
