This contest is all about building your ideal multi-tasking set up for work and play. This could be your ultimate video editing and streaming Desktop machine or the ultimate gaming Desktop machine. Tell us about the workload and demands you have for the build and how you would go about building the ultimate set-up. Submit your best idea for a chance to become one of the 5 finalists with hardware to build that PC. Once finalists have completed building their PC, they will compete for the grand prize.

How to Submit

Register: Create an account on and or sign in to (hyperlink TechMesh)

1. Register: Create an account and sign-in to TechMesh.Intel.cm
2. Join: Click "Join: on the PC-Build Challenge Group
3. Submit a “Build” project to TechMesh and assign it this group by Jan 31, 2022. (Officially opens on Jan 3, 2022)
4. Complete: Talent Form to be elibable for the Grand Prize.

Creating a good submission: Read the judging rules below and do your best to describe your project

1. Explain the scope of your project in Overview. Include any drawings, sketches, photographs, renders that will help judges visualize your project.
2. Describe your method(s) for achieving your build. Tell us your creative approach and explain, tools, processes, techniques, thought processes that you will use on the project.
3. Explain how you will make use of intel products and technologies in your build and or how the CPU would enhance your design.
4. Finalist Phase: please keep a video/picture journal of your build’s progress and submit it to us. Submit at least five (5) videos and ten (10) photos of your progress via a shared folder assigned by an Intel representative. Permission must be given to use all photos and videos on Intel's social media channels.

Rules:

1. Intel Insiders Student Challenge is open to participants in the United States. See full eligibility in our Terms and Conditions (link)
2. The concepts for the competition must be new and not from older projects in the past.
3. The best builds (5) will be provided hardware to build their PC setup design. These would be referred to as finalists.
4. Finalist phases: The Five (5) finalists will compete for a grand prize.
5. Finalist phase: The 5 finalists must submit a separate work journal (photographs and or videos) of the progress of their PC build. a. Finalist phase: It is recommended that the work journal show as much details as possible so the judges can see all the effort and work put in to give you an accurate score.
6. You must be the original creators of your build and/or design and you must be a legal adult in your country of residence or have written permission by a legal parent or guardian.
7. Submit your concepts for both contests by Jan 31 (contests open on Jan 3)
8. Finalist Phase: Judges will select projects by Feb. 4, 2022, and add those projects to Student Challenge Showcase. Finalists for the build contest will be shipped hardware.
9. Final Submission: All showcase finalists will need to update their project adding a video that demonstrates the final build, how it works, and the inspiration behind it by Feb 24, 2022.
10. Everyone is given the same options for hardware for a complete build.
11. Contestants are not allowed to seek out sponsorships for anything used in their builds. Anything used in the builds, including product, non-open-market discounts, services, or other investments of time or material where a fair market payment is eschewed.

Judging: Projects will be judged on 3 criteria

1. Creativity and/or inspiration for the project.
2. Technical skill/craftsmanship: Difficulty, effort, techniques, tools, etc. used on the project.
3. Use and inclusion of Intel products in the build.

NOTE: Please include descriptions for your creations outline the judging criteria above. The finalists will be required to submit a video and pictures of the project where final judging will rely on the above being clearly articulated and or demonstrated in the video

Dates and Timelines

1. Ideation Submission Phase: All submissions must be published to TechMesh as part of the Student Challenge Group by Jan 31, 2022. For questions, join our Discord in the #TechMesh_Challenge Channel
2. Finalist Phase: Judges will select projects as finalists by Feb 4, 2022. Finalists will be shipped hardware.
3. Final Submission: All showcase finalists will need to update their project by adding a video that demonstrates the final build by Feb 24, 2022.
4. Winners will be chosen by Feb 28, 2022.
