Virtual Activities with the ACM Sac State Students Progressive Hackathon and Sac State Carlson Center Toolkit Series started in early April right during the midst of the tragic Covid-19 situation and we quickly moved into Zoom based sessions. We plan to continue the Sac State Students Progressive Hackathon having attracted students from beyond Sacramento and we now call it the Cal-IOT

Intel IOT DevFest IV took place on June 18,19 in 5 Time Zones. Had the opportunity to organize a panel on Challenges for Industrial IOT & Accelerating Adoption - Use of Cameras for Object Detection, Computer Vision & AI. My co-panelists were Dr. Al Salour, Technical Fellow at Boeing, Shrikant Acharya, President, Co-Founder and CTO at Excelfore Corporation, based in Silicon Valley and Mighael Botha, CTO of Software AG, North America.
Had a Blast - Organized Workshops on IOT, AR, VR and OpenVINO & Movidius ToolSets at our Development Centers and with Partners in India - at Delhi, Noida and Dehradun - the convergence that will evidently take place with IOT, AR and VR together with AI and Machine Learning - we gave away the Movidius Neural Compute Stick NCS and NCS2 to our team members developing some cool innovation projects
Los Rios CODEATHON 2019
ACM Student Chapter, Los Rios Community College District organized Codeathon 2019 at Sacramento City College campus, with support of ACM Sacramento Chapter computing professional members, inviting students from SCC, Consumnes River College, American River College and Folsom Lake College.
